Sean Toporek, Assistant Professor of Specialty Crops Pathology Meet Sean Toporek is the new assistant professor of specialty crops pathology at South Dakota State University and director of the SDSU Local Foods Education Center. He also is the director for the Local Foods and Education Center on Campus and teaches both local foods and horticulture courses. Cucurbit diseases can be caused by viral, fungal, bacterial, or nematodal infections. This session will explain the biology behind management strategies we can use on some of the major cucurbit diseases in South Dakota.
